A few of the 'must see' sites are:
Skara Brae - Well preserved 5000 year old village –the best Neolithic site in Europe. Open daily all year.
Skaill House - Fine Mansion House built in 1620. Explore this family home and artefacts. Open Apr - Oct.
Kitchener’s Memorial - Erected in 1926 at Marwick Head to commemorate Lord Kitchener and crew off HMS Hampshire, sunk of coast in 1916 by a German mine.
Broch of Borwick - Built between Bay of Skaill and Yesnaby, abandoned between 500AD – 600AD.
Fishermens’ Huts, Marwick - Recently restored fishermens’ huts where they used to pull up their boats for the winter.
Kirbuster Farm Museum - A well kept example of an early 19th century farmhouse.
